Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Ford Fusion- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford Fusion, we're going to be test fitting the Inno Aero Light four bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. It's going to be part number INH640. As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features.Now starting from the outside and working our way in, we have this integrated cable lock system that stretched out from the base of our bike rack, wraps over our bikes, and simply inserts into this little notch right there. Now when you want to unlock the cable, you will get a set of keys for that and you simply lift up this little tab, you insert your key, right in there, and that unlocks the cable and then making it easier to unload your bikes.When we come to our cradles, we see they pivot back and forth or side to side rather and they move up and down on the bike rack. That's going to help out with any size bike frame you might have or any spacing you might want between your bikes. These cradles also have a nice rubber coated surface that's going to help protect your bike from any abrasions or scratches when you're loading and unloading and during travel.If we come in closer we see that our bikes connected at three different points of contact. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford Fusion, we're gonna be testing the Inno Aero Light 2 Bike Rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches. That's gonna be part number INH620. As you can see, we already have a bike installed so let's go ahead and take a look at some of the features.Now starting from the outside and working our way in, we have this integrated cable locking system where the cable comes out from the base of the bike rack, comes around our bikes, and it's simply gonna lock into place right here in this little notch. When you wanna unlock the cable, you will have received a set of keys with your bike rack, you simply slide up this little tab and you have the insert for your key right there to unlock it and unload your bikes.We come over to look at the cradles. We can see that they pivot left and right and they also scoot back and forth along the bike rack and that's gonna be very good for any type of bike frames you might have or any type of spacing you might want between your bikes when it's fully loaded.Up here, we can see the bike is connected at three different points of contact. We have two straps on the top of our frame and they're sitting in their cradles. more

Like most platform style racks this bike rack can tilt away from the vehicle in order to provide rear hatch access.To start I'm going to pull up my other wheel hook, grab a hold of my two wheel hooks, there's a foot pedal down here, we're going to press down, now that's going to let our bike rack tilt away like so. Now I can slide right in and access anything I might need in my rear hatch. To tilt it back we're simply going to grab a hold of our two hooks and push back until it latches like so.To come and see how our bike is secured, it's secured at two different points of contact. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford Fusion we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts MonoRail Solo one bike platform rack for 1 1/4" and 2" hitches. That's going to be part number RKY10007.As you can see, we already have a bike installed, so let's take a look at some of the features. To start, this bike rack does come with a cable locking system. You simply just lock the cable around the bike and then back through the cable, itself, and it attaches at this point right here. Your bike rack does come with a set of keys, so you can unlock the cable and thus unload your bike.This bike rack can carry a wide variety of bikes, ranging from this road bike we have right here to even fat tire bikes, being up to 5" in length. Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2010 Ford Fusion- Video
Today, on our 2010 Ford Fusion, we're going to be doing a test fit to the Thule Vertex 4 Bike Hanging Style Rack. Part number TH9029XT. Now on this bike rack, there are 3 locations that secures the bike down. It's got 2 straps up here across the frame, and then one anti sway strap down here on the down tube. That anti sway strap's going to help eliminate too much of that shake in the bike, to help avoid hitting other bikes, or the rack itself. Now let's take our bike and we'll get it out of the way, so that we can highlight some of the other features on this rack. Once we've got that set off to the side, let's take a measurement to see what the total distance added to our vehicle is. Total distance added looks to be about 33 inches. On this, it does have an integrated cable lock, which you can pull out, and you'll insert right there. more

Today on our 2016 Ford Fusion we'll be doing a test fit on the Kuat Transfer Three Bike Rack. That's part number TS03G. Now, it's also available as a two bike rack and that's part number TS02G. I've already got it loaded up on the Fusion just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to secure our bikes. It actually secures our bikes in two spots. We have this large front wheel hook putting down pressure on our front wheel into the front wheel cradle. Then we have a rear wheel strap going between our spokes, and then keeping our rear wheel in place. more

Saris Freedom SuperClamp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Ford Fusion- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Fusion we're going to be doing a test-fit of the Saris Freedom SuperClamp. This will be your platform-style, 2-bike rack, part number SA4025. As you can see, this rack is going to have an inch and a quarter shank that's going to attach to our class one and two hitches as well as it does come with your two inch adapter for your class three hitches. It also is going to attach to any of our receivers using an anti-rattle bolt that you can see down there on the bottom. That's going to help to alleviate a lot of the sway, rattle, and wobble that you would normally have and act more as one item rather than the bike rack just being a standalone item on its own. When it's tied into the vehicle, you'll get more movement out of the vehicle than you would the rack. Let's start off by a few measurements. more

Saris Bike Porter Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Ford Fusion- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Fusion, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Saris Bike Porter hanging style four-bike rack. As you can see, we've already got our bike up here on our platform so you can see what it's going to look like once you have it fully assembled and in place on the back of your vehicle. It's going to be part number SA404B. Let's go ahead and talk about the inch and a quarter shank that's going to attach to our inch and a quarter receiver. Note that this bike rack does also come with your two-inch adapter for your class three receiver as well, but this inch and a quarter will work with your class one and two. Just keep in mind that with your class one, you're only going to be able to carry up to two bikes, just for the weight restrictions on the receiver. Let's get a few measurements out of the way, starting off with our closest distance first, which would be from that back side of the bumper to the front side of the rack here, at about five and a half inches. Our overall distance that we've added to the back of the vehicle will be about thirty inches, and our rear ground clearance at about eight and a half inches. more

Today on our 2013 Ford Fusion, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Swagman Trailhead hanging-style, four-bike rack, part number S63380. This bike rack is going to come with your 1 1/4 inch shank as well as a 2 inch adapter. You're 1 1/4 inch shank will be good for your class one and two hitches, just keep in mind, with your class one you're only going to be able to carry up to two bikes and not the full four. With the class two, you can carry all four. It will fit your class three as well, with that 2 inch adapter that will also come with the bike rack. Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford Fusion- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford Fusion we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Platform-Style Two Bike Carrier, part number hr1000-1G. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into our Fusion's hitch. After lining up the pin holes we'll secure the carrier with the included bolt and clip making sure the bolt is tight by using a wrench. With our Sport Rider mounted we can go ahead and get some measurements to see how the carrier and our Fusion will fit together. We have about 14 inches of ground clearance at the rear. The closest part of our Fusion to the closest part of our Sport Rider is about 5 inches away. We've added about 12-1/2 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. When the Sport Rider is in its upright position we cannot gain access to the trunk as you can see here. more

Today on our 2013 Ford Fusion we'll be test fitting the Swagman Titan Four Bike Carrier, part number s63410. Now to begin our test fit we'll simply slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes and install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt.Now with our Swagman tight and secured to our Ford Fusion we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how they fit together. From the rear of the carrier we have about 12 inches ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about five inches. With the cradle arms folded down we've added about 16 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. We'll now pull the black lever at the top of the mast to swing the cradle arms out and with the cradle arms out we've added about 35 inches to the overall length of the vehicle. more

SportRack Super EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Ford Fusion- Video
Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion, we'll be test fitting the SportRack Super EZ platform-style 2-bike rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number SR2901LR. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll line up the pin holes, and then thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten with a wrench. Now we'll go ahead and go over some clearance measurements. We have a ground clearance of about 14-1/2". The shank of our carrier actually starts inclining right at the base of our bumper, and so our bumper clearance is zero, because our carrier and our bumper is flush with each other. more

Rhode Gear Highway Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Ford Fusion- Video
Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion, we'll be test fitting the Rhode Gear highway two-bike carrier. Part number RG8015220. And to begin our test fit, we'll simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install our anti rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Ford Fusion- Video
Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion, we'll be test fitting Thule vertex four-bike carrier. Part number TH9029. A quick note about this bike rack, it will fit in both inch and a quarter and two inch hitches with the included adaptor. However, when using with a class one hitch, you are limited to two bikes. Now to begin our test fit, we'll simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our anti rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, that will secure our bike rack is secure to the vehicle. more

Today on our 2012 Ford Fusion, we'll be test fitting part number TH934XTR, the Thule hitching post pro. Now to begin our test fit, we'll simply slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our anti rattle bolt. With our bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the bike rack is 10 and a half inches, and from the closest point of the bike rack mast to the back of the vehicle is seven and a half inches. Now we'll go ahead and pull the pin at the bottom of the mast to tilt the mast down and open our trunk. more

Today on our 2011 Ford Fusion, well be test fitting the Swagman Titan 4 Bike Carrier, part number S63410. Quick note about this bike rack, it can be used within an 1 inch or 2 inch hitches, although when using the class 1 hitch, you are limited to 2 bikes. Well begin by simply inserting the bike rack shank into the hitch. Well line up the hitch pinhole and install our anti-rattle bolt. Well then tighten it down using our wrench. With our anti-rattle bolt tight, well simply side our safety pin over the other side of the anti-rattle bolt and that will secure the bike rack to the vehicle. more

Today on our 2011 Ford Fusion, well be testing the Sport Rack 2 Wheel Mount Bike Rack, part number A30901. Quick note about this bike rack, you are able to use it on both 1 inch and 2-inch hitches. With this application, our vehicle is set up with an 1 inch hitch and our bike rack is already pre-assembled, so were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well begin by inserting the bike rack shank into the hitch. Well line up the hitch pinhole and insert our anti-rattle bolt. With our anti-rattle bolt in, well tighten it down using a wrench and that will secure it to the vehicle. more
